Emma Sherman-Hawver

Community Liaison

Emma is a rising Junior at Barnard College of Columbia University, pursuing a major in Political Science and a minor in Economics. As a Community Liaison for Asmbl, she is responsible for community outreach, organizing partnerships with activist groups, and building coalitions to help expand the Asmbl network. She has been involved with activism throughout her life and has a passion for progressive politics. She has participated in numerous grassroots advocacy projects, including organizing for increased access to free Covid-19 testing early on in the pandemic. Additionally, Emma currently works as one of the founders of a grassroots political organization, Done Waiting, which provides field resources to campaigns. In the future, she wants to pursue a master's degree from Columbia University, studying empirical methods in political science.
